Course overview

Time management is about making the best use of your time. However this is easier said than done – particularly at the moment when organisations are being required to do more for less. If you think time management approaches will help you keep control of your workload then this interactive and participative online course is for you!

Session 1: 23 November, 10am to 1pm

Session 2: 25 November, 10am to 1pm

Overall course aim

This 2-part online course is designed to increase awareness of your own time management, and to help you identify practical steps to improve your effectiveness in the workplace. Through individual exercises and group discussions you will get the opportunity to identify major time stealers at work and formulate action plans to overcome them.

John Bonnar will help you answer that age-old question “Where does all my time go?" and discover how to take control of your time by looking at:

  • effective prioritisation skills;
  • controlling time and tasks techniques;
  • assertive tricks to manage interruptions and handle disruptions.
Course objectives

In today’s climate it is essential individuals manage the demands on their time and know how to organise their daily tasks to reduce stress. This online course has everything you need to take control of your time by exploring what helps and hinders achieving priorities and presents tips and techniques on how to improve the use of the time available. You will learn:

  • how time management can help with productivity;
  • how and when to say “no” without offending;
  • how to establish short and long term goals to achieve results;
  • how to sustain these improvements
Who was the course aimed at?

This online course is for anyone within the voluntary sector who wants to learn practical tips on how to deal with their working day effectively and feel ‘in control’.
