We've launched Volunteer Scotland Search, a new site for finding volunteering opportunities and organisations across Scotland.

You can search or browse opportunities and organisations, see them on a map, and register interest directly, which lets the local Third Sector Interface follow up with you. If you'd rather come back to it later, you can save a search and we'll email you when something new matches it.

The map search is a new feature. It's the first time we've let people search by postcode and see volunteering opportunities and organisations plotted on a map, rather than just a list. We'd just built that for Goodmoves, our jobs site, and Volunteer Scotland Search reuses most of that same code, pointed at Milo's volunteering database instead of Goodmoves' job listings.

SCVO (Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations) is the national membership organisation for Scotland's voluntary sector.
