# Help to promote self-regulation of fundraising in Scotland

The Independent Fundraising Standards & Adjudication Panel for Scotland was [formally established](http://www.oscr.org.uk/blog/2017/march/21/what-s-so-special-about-fundraising-in-scotland) in December 2016, to promote good fundraising standards and adjudicate on fundraising complaints throughout Scottish registered charities. You can hear more about the Panel’s role in this [interview](https://youtu.be/mfnln84Z8xw). I was appointed in January to carry out the secretariat role and since then, we’ve been working to get the Panel up-and-running to fulfil its purposes. We’re looking for suggestions on a more suitable name for the Panel, something shorter and catchier that will generate a better connection between the Panel, Scottish charities and members of the public. At our most recent quarterly meeting we also discussed a logo for the Panel that could also be used by Scottish charities on their website and documents to show they are committed to good fundraising and signed up to the [Fundraising Guarantee](https://fundraisingcomplaints.scot/fundraising-guarantee). This logo would be used in place of the Fundraising Standards Board (FRSB) ‘tick’ logo in a similar way to the new logo by the Fundraising Regulator for England and Wales. We’d considered thumbs-up, smiley faces and collection jars but none of them felt right! That’s where you come in. We want the sector to have a say (after all, this is about enhanced self-regulation as chosen during the [consultation process](http://www.scvo.scot/scvo-news/charity-fundraising-in-scotland-to-be-improved-with-stronger-self-regulation/)) so we’re looking for any ideas or suggestions you have for this logo – what would you like to display that represents good fundraising? We would love to hear your ideas so please get in touch at [fundraisingsecretariat@outlook.com](mailto:fundraisingsecretariat@outlook.com) by no later than **Sunday 28 May 2017.**
