Who we are

The Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO) is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation. We are a charity registered in Scotland SC003558.  Our registered office is Mansfield Traquair Centre, 15 Mansfield Place, Edinburgh, EH3 6BB.

This privacy notice tells you what data we collect and what we use it for, within the Community Jobs Scotland (CJS) programme.

What information do we collect?

The information we collect, and share is; full name, National Insurance number, date of birth, start date of job, end date of job and leaver destination. To ensure the correct allocation of funding and to confirm eligibility for CJS we need to supply personal details to the Scottish Government and Jobcentre Plus or Skills Development Scotland.

To ensure that on-going support is made available for young people aged between 16 and 24 years, we share the following personal details with Skills Development Scotland; full name, date of birth, address, postcode, telephone number, start date of CJS job, end date of CJS job, leaver destination, name of new employer or college/university.

How we use the information?

SCVO will periodically conduct audits with employers to ensure compliance with the conditions of the Scottish Government funding for the CJS programme. Part of the audit can include requesting copies of payslips, signed contract of employment and evidence of review/supervision meetings conducted.

We will not share your information with any third parties other than the partners detailed above, unless we have asked for your consent to do so.

When you have completed your CJS position, we will keep your information for as long as we are required to do so by the funder (the Scottish Government) – this is currently 6 years.

Your rights over your information

By law, you can ask us what information we hold about you, and you can ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate.

You can also ask us to give you a copy of the information and to stop using your information.
