Middle Manager Digital Leadership programme

This programme is only currently available to SCVO members - if your organisation isn't a member, please visit our membership page for more info about joining our community

The past few years have been stressful for everyone, particularly those working in management positions within charities, community groups and social enterprises. With increased demand and decreased resources, the pressure of managing staff, volunteers and services has left many middle managers feeling burnt out.

But help is at hand! Our new Middle Manager Digital Leadership Programme is designed to help support you to find and use digital tools, methods and ways of working to:

  • ease your workload
  • manage more effectively
  • develop your team
  • solve problems faster
  • create time for creativity

What's involved?

Delivered over twelve weeks, you will participate in 6 x 2.5 hour sessions, with directed work in between each session and 2 x 1 hour follow up sessions. The course is fully online and will be delivered over Zoom, with links to sessions sent to you once your application has been accepted.

The programme centres around four core themes with a final road mapping retrospective session and a final follow-up session:

  • Leadership and delegation – examine and understand your approach
  • Culture and wellbeing – the fundamentals of hybrid working
  • Iterative project management – understanding agile methodology
  • Asynchronous working – creating space for creativity

Each session is tailored to meet the needs of each cohort with a focus on:

  • What is happening?
  • What should be happening?
  • How do we make it happen?

What’s required?

You must hold a middle manager position and belong to an SCVO member organisation to participate in the programme.

If you hold a more senior position, please contact Maddie Stark (maddie.stark@scvo.scot) to discuss your options.

We ask that you are available for all dates shown below. The programme is free of charge but it still involves a high level of commitment over the twelve weeks. All sessions will be delivered online over Zoom, with links to sessions sent to you once your application has been accepted.
