Need to train people but lack confidence and not sure where to start? This brand new 3-part online course is designed to help you understand how people learn and equip you with the techniques and skills to train them.
Part 1- 7 September, 10am to 1pm
Part 2- 8 September, 10am to 1pm
Part 3- 14 September, 10am to 1pm
Through individual tasks and group work you will gain the skills and confidence todeliver engaging and learner focused training.
- Overall course aim
Whether it is a big part of your job or just a small bit of it, the aimof this online course is to introduce you to how people learn,learning styles,and selectingand using suitable training methodsfor your participants.
- Course objectives
This online course will providean introduction tothe tools required to plan, deliver and evaluate effective training.Anne Whitefordwill guide you through the 3 sessions so you willgain the confidence to design and deliver learning to individuals and small groups.

Developing a Learning experience
- Training Methods: Tools; Icebreakers; Energisers.
- Review and Evaluation: Kirkpatrick's 4 levels of evaluation.

Leading groups to facilitate learning
- Skills and characteristics of trainers and facilitators.
- Managing challenging situations.
Putting it into practice
- Developing a training event in teams.
- Presentation to the other groups.

- Who is the course aimed at?
This interactive online course is for anyone new to training or has no previous formal training or if you are a trainer and wish to consolidate your training skills. Over the 3 sessions you will work on individual tasks and in small groups.

There are no formal entry requirements.
- Homework required
Information of your experiences of delivering training and on the topics covered in the course will be gathered prior to the first session taking place.
- Other information
Course structure: 3x 3-hour sessions, with plenty of opportunities for questions, discussion and exercises.
