Samaritans is the charity that prevents suicide through the power of human connection. Connecting people in crisis with trained volunteers who will always listen. We make sure there’s always someone to listen for people in crisis or feeling suicidal. In Inverness we provide training and support to local Listening Volunteers who contribute to the national helpline service. We also provide listening support locally linking with vulnerable groups in particular. We also raise awareness of people’s experiences, create partnerships and campaign for suicide prevention.
