This privacy notice tells you what data we collect and what we use it for.

What information do we collect?

When you sign up for a My SCVO account, your name and email address are recorded and stored. You’ll have the option to provide us with other personal information that will also be recorded and stored if you choose to provide it.

If your organisation is an SCVO member, we'll link your account details to that organisation, unless you ask us not to.

If you are not part of an SCVO member organisation, you will have the option to link your account to the organisation you are part of.

All account users will be able to select ‘interests’ - these details are also recorded and stored if you select them. And you will be invited to sign up for a regular SCVO bulletin.

How will we use the information?

Your name, email and organisation are stored to allow our systems to recognise you as a registered My SCVO account user and allow you to sign-in to your account.

Your email address is used to send you a regular SCVO bulletin and/or details of other SCVO services that we think may legitimately benefit you or be of interest to you. You can unsubscribe from this at any point.

The organisation you link to and the information you provide will determine the content you see when you are signed into the following SCVO websites:

This is to allow SCVO members and supporters to access exclusive content and features that are not available to other users.

The interests you select will help determine the content you receive in the SCVO bulletin and will also be used to responsibly market SCVO events, benefits, services, partners and sponsors to you. You can change your interests or unsubscribe at any point.

If you provide any other optional personal information this may be used to profile you for marketing purposes and send you relevant marketing information.

We use cookies to track how you use and move about our website when you are signed in to your My SCVO account. For more information on this, please read our cookies policy.

We will not share your information with any third parties unless you ask us to do so or we have asked for your consent in advance.

Your details will be stored for as long as you hold a My SCVO account. If you terminate your personal My SCVO account, we will only keep the details we need to make sure you do not receive future marketing from us. This is unless we have any other lawful basis to keep your information.

Your rights over your information

By law, you can ask us what information we hold about you, and you can ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate.

You can also ask us to give you a copy of the information and to stop using your information.
