Who we are

The Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO) is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation. We are a charity registered in Scotland SC003558. Our registered office is Mansfield Traquair Centre, 15 Mansfield Place, Edinburgh, EH3 6BB.

This privacy notice tells you what data we collect and what we use it for.

What information do we collect?

Name, contact information, photographs, film, words, and quotes.
We will also ask you to fill in a media consent form to allow us to use your information.

How will we use the information?

We will use this data to promote the activities of SCVO for marketing and promotional purposes in the ways which are specifically detailed and consented to in our Media Consent Form. 

Your image and words may appear in any of our promotional material in printed or electronic form including websites, social media, multimedia productions etc. Please note that websites and social media can be seen worldwide and not just in the UK where UK law applies.

We will not share your information with any third parties unless you ask us to do so, or we have asked for your consent in advance.

We will normally store photographs and film securely on our systems for no longer than five years, however your photograph, film, words and quotes may be selected for inclusion in our historical archive and be retained indefinitely.

Your rights over your information

By law, you can ask us what information we hold about you, and you can ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate.

You can also ask us to give you a copy of the information and to stop using your information.
