Our organisation keeps an age old tradition of Side Saddle riding alive and encourages new people back into riding side saddle. For hundreds of year women and girls were only allowed to ride side saddle which started to die out as women and girls were allowed to ride astride (about 100 years ago) as many do today. We are committed to keep the tradition alive by riding side saddle. By hosting try it days for riders to try side saddle, competing at local shows and doing demonstrations. War time men would have also riding side saddle following amputation as this would have also been the only way they could continue riding.

Promoting education of our riders by encouraging them to take the educational grade tests and progression to becoming a judge or instructor.
