Ford Village Hall Ltd operates as a charitable company limited by guarantee under the auspices of Company Law and OSCR. Its Articles of Association, which contains the rules by which the charity is governed, underpin everything we do. According to the Articles of Association, there can be up to 11 directors at any one time. The Directors carry out their duties on a voluntary basis and all have busy lives. The Committee was established in 2004 and the current committee was formed at the January 2024 AGM. It currently has 8 directors and 1 coopted director. Meetings of the main committee occur in the third week of every month and various sub-committees meet on an ad-hoc basis.The Ford Village Hall committee have the following responsibilities:o The care and maintenance of the Ford Village Hall.o To act as a leadership group in the consultation for and creation of Ford Community Action Plans.o To manage and lead the implementation of the CAP.o To manage fund raising activities to support the Village Hall upkeep and CAP.o To plan and deliver social events to encourage social participation.o To publicize the work of the committee and associated activity.o To manage and improve community green spaces.o To provide opportunities to tackle inequality of access to services, loneliness and isolation and ensure that all members of the Ford community can engage in local decision making.
