Rothiemurchus and Aviemore Tennis Club

The Club is located on the beautiful Rothiemurchus Estate, in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, just a five minute drive or ten minute walk from the centre of Aviemore along the Ski Road (B970). The Club was established in the 1920s and originally had two courts, a golf course and curling rink. Since then, the golf course has moved on and curling takes place at Inverness Ice Rink, but we have three outdoor polymeric courts and one court with a cover all with floodlights and a modern clubhouse. Members can enjoy social and competitive tennis, and there are regular social events and tournaments, including the Club Championships, to keep everyone active. Visitors are always welcome and we pride ourselves on being a very family friendly club, and there is plenty of action for our younger members both on and off the court!We finished phase 1 of our Courts4All project and would like to thank WREN FCC Community Action Fund, WPG Trust, Tesco Bags of Help, Badenoch and Strathspey Ward Discretionary Budget and all the help with fundraising events from club members for funding this.We have now completed phase 2 which will enable us to extend and enhance our facilities, including a covered area to provide an all year round facility, not only for developing tennis, but also ideal for a range of other sports and activities.
