We are a stand alone charity based in Caithness, with two drop-in centres in Wick and Thurso (20 miles apart) providing help, advice and information to people with Dual Sensory Loss - hearing and sight. We give practical help on managing hearing and/or sight loss, advice on services and equipment available and demonstrate and procure said equipment. We refer to statutory and voluntary organisations prividng a wholistic service to people we see. Social prescribing and early intervention are a priority to keep people safe, independent and confident at home and in their communities. Over 1,000 people access our services in the centres and communities at rural drop-in clinics held quarterly, regular visits to nursing/care and residential homes and day care centres.
