Friends of Dovecot Court

The Friends of Dovecot Court is the residents association for Dovecot Court, an extra care housing complex in Peebles. The Friends arrange activities both for the residents of Dovecot Court, and other local supported housing, to combat isolation and encourage socialisation. These include visits from therapets, knitting and crochet groups (we have just sent 10 blankets to Ukraine), concerts from Perfect Harmony and Strumash, the Peebles ukelele group, Beetle Drives and games and dominoes afternoons, regular lunches for residents, families and friends. It works in conjunction with Dementia Friendly Tweeddale & Nomad Beat to run Recollective, the "dementia friendly" choir.
