YWCA Scotland - The Young Women’s Movement is a national feminist organisation and part of the biggest worldwide movement of young women leading change. We bring over 160 years of accumulated knowledge in how to best meet the needs of women and girls; a tried and tested safe spaces model that supports women and girls to achieve their potential; unique insight from our annual research on the needs, concerns, and aspirations of young women living in Scotland; and a successful track record of engagement with young women under 30 and groups of marginalised young women in particular.The organisation has two main locations in Glasgow and Edinburgh. Our Glasgow Centre, which is situated within the 15% most deprived areas in Scotland, welcomes over 900 refugee and disadvantaged women and girls to an empowering safe space where they explore gender equality and build confidence and skills. Our Edinburgh office manages national projects and campaigns, which focus on providing leadership opportunities, training, and visible role models for young women. Our work influences policy, service delivery, and education to create best outcomes for young women and girls.
