Spey Bay Hall is a vital community space in our area, hosting events, classes, and gatherings for people of all ages. We have around 150 community members using our hall throughout the week and we have worked hard to create a full timetable of activities for all ages. These activities include community art groups, multiple fitness classes and yoga, a thriving parents babies and toddler group, country dancing, indoor bowling, and our Be Active Live Longer group. We support our local community to connect, keep active, look after their wellbeing, and thrive.Additionally, our community hall serves as a space which can be hired for private events such as weddings or birthday parties. We also host community gatherings such as our recent remembrance day poppy tea event, which brought together local community members and service men and women from Canada after the Dallachy Strike Wing memorial service. We also work to reduce inequalities wherever possible, whether that is enabling the sharing of resources between community members, the provision of free internet access thanks to our connection with WiFi Scotland, or providing life experiences in a warm and safe environment that community members might not otherwise have access to. Our hall and organisation is run by a dedicated group of volunteers, all of whom are also members of the local community. We exist for the benefit of all of our community members in Spey Bay, Dallachy, and Bogmoor, regardless of age, economic status, or other protected characteristics, and we tailor our activities to what these communities tell us they want and need. We also welcome and include others to join us from across Moray and further afield to enjoy the benefits that our community hall and its activities bring.
