As part of Girlguiding Scotland we want all girls to have the space and opportunities they need to grow in confidence, reach for the stars and be a powerful force for good. We give girls their own space We want all girls to benefit from the opportunities to grow that come with being a part of Girlguiding Scotland.

Want to know why we’re girl-only? Girlguiding Scotland members tell us they love being in an all-girl group because it gives them space to be themselves, try new things and share what it’s like growing up as a girl in today’s world.

Every week they choose what they want to do with their friends, from recycling rubbish into fashion to flipping pancakes or exploring world issues. Girls love earning badges which show that they’ve thrown themselves into a new sport, explored an issue or learned a new skill like star-gazing.

We’re for all girls

We work hard to make sure any girl who wants to can join Girlguiding Scotland, with grants so that costs and ability don’t prevent anyone from joining us.

And we help girls tackle the issues that matter to them, with our team of more than 70 peer educators running sessions across Scotland on healthy relationships and busting body myths.

We give girls a voice

And as they get older there are even more opportunities for girls and young women to make a difference, speak out and do things which will boost their CV. We empower girls to become leaders themselves and make their voices heard on the issues that affect them. Plus, our international projects take girls all over the world!

Our property in Kilmacolm also provides our local community with a useable space for a variety of groups including, crafts groups, fit classes, dancing, Fellowship and other youth groups.
