Glasgow ANSAR (All Nations Sports Arts Recreation) is a volunteer-led community charity based in the southside of Glasgow. Established in 2001, the organisation aims to provide a space where young people, particularly from ethnically diverse backgrounds, can engage confidently in sports and arts while connecting with their community.With over 500 members of all ages, and genders, Glasgow ANSAR offers a range of activities. These include weekly football and netball academies, league competitions, and a sports volunteering programme that helps young people develop coaching and leadership skills.The organisation also runs events such as summer camps, offering taster sessions in various sports and promoting health and well-being. Through partnerships with governing bodies like Cricket Scotland, these camps provide diverse experiences for participants.Glasgow ANSAR is dedicated to inclusivity and community engagement, ensuring that young people have access to positive experiences in both sports and the arts.
