Cawdor Community Centre

Cawdor Community Centre is a small, volunteer-run space that plays a big part in village life. We’re joined to the local primary school and work closely with families, staff, and the wider community to offer things that matter — time, space, and connection. We run some things ourselves — like parent wellbeing workshops, Relax Kids and Chill Skills sessions, and a growing Youth Hub for older children — but we also open our doors to a wide range of groups. These include gymnastics, Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, and heritage groups, as well as hosting Magic Movers — a positive, low-impact movement class designed to support confidence, balance, and vitality, especially for those looking for a gentler approach to fitness. Some groups are long-standing, others are new, and some simply come together when there’s energy and interest. The Centre plays a key role in local life, providing affordable, accessible space for activities that strengthen connections between children, families, and the wider community. We are also a place for celebration — available for community events, social gatherings, and family occasions that bring people together. We work closely with Cawdor Primary School and other local organisations to ensure that what happens here is inclusive and reflects what people want and need. What we care about most is helping people feel part of something. Whether you’re a parent catching your breath after drop-off, a child running in for a session, a group leader running an activity, or someone older looking for gentle movement and a chat — we try to make sure there’s a welcome for you.The Centre belongs to the community. Our hope is that everyone who walks through the door feels that.
