To provide a safe and friendly environment and to facilitate educational, recreational and social activities that will improve and enhance lives of inhabitants of Alva and its surround environs, in particular but not exclusively older adults, regardless of sexual orientation, religion or political view or other opinion. To work in partnership with local statutory agencies, voluntary organisations and individuals to provide facilities in the interest of of social welfare for recreation and other leisure-time occupation so that their conditions may be improved. To maintain and manage a community centre for activities promoted by the association and its constituent bodies in furtherance of the above objectives.
