- Overall aim
This event aims to introduce trustees and others to the role Independent Examination (IE) plays in ensuring good governance.
- Description
Independent Examination is often understood as a check on the charity's finances but it goes much further than that. IE considers all aspects of a charity's well being and governance, its mission, policies and delivery. This event will take you through all aspects of the role.
The session will take attendees through the process of independent examination to ensure that they are in a position to seek competent examiners, monitor their work, and to consider whether they, too, might take on independent examination for other charities.
