This session aims to help equip trustees with the practical knowledge and confidence to ensure the governance of their organisation is good. You'll get the opportunity to hear from experts and share your own knowledge and experience of being on a board. We’ll look at the key elements of good governance and how you can strengthen and sustain your board's effectiveness.

Join us at our interactive session to explore what good governance looks like. We'll be joined by experts from SCVO’s Legal and Tax Advice Services, other sector support specialists, and SCVO's own Information Service team. We’ll take a look at the updated Scottish Governance Code for the Third Sector’s five core principles and the key elements of good governance. We’ll be using SCVO’s Good Governance Checkup to show how you can evidence and demonstrate good governance in your organisation, and will look at practical tools and resources to support boards. Come along to find out how good governance can strengthen the effectiveness of your board and enable your organisation to thrive.
