- Description
Figen Murray OBE is a counter terrorism expert and a beacon of hope and resilience.
As the pioneering force behind Martyn's Law, the world's first-of-its-kind counter terrorism legislation, officially known as the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025, Figen has redefined safety and security standards in the UK by ensuring public venues will be proactively prepared to protect people in the event of a terror attack.
Figen's son, Martyn Hett, was one of 22 innocent victims killed at the Manchester Arena terror attack on 22 May 2017. She channeled her grief into transformative action and has emerged as a leading advocate for better security provision and standards across the UK.
This is a unique opportunity to hear from Figen about her campaigning, policy influence, resilience and achievements.
