- Overall aim
Leaders have a responsibility to protect their voluntary organisations, considering and managing potential risks they might face and how to control them.
However the majority of third sector organisations don’t have digital teams in-house and are often unable to access ad hoc professional IT expertise. Today we’ll discuss practical steps to help these organisations stay safe online in our ever increasing digital world.
- Description
Almost one in three UK charities experienced some form of cyber security breach or attack in the past year. As organisations increasingly depend on digital tools and services, the threat is not just likely – it’s inevitable.
We know there are real barriers facing the sector when it comes to addressing the ongoing safety challenges associated with operating online – from limited resources to lack of in house expertise – but the cost of inaction is far greater.
That’s why SCVO, CybAid, and Third Sector Lab are coming together to offer free practical advice and support to help you take immediate steps to protect your organisation.Join our expert panel to learn how you can defend against common threats — even with minimal digital capacity. SCVO’s cyber resilience programme has been working hard over the past year to build partnerships and create initiatives tailored to the needs of voluntary organisations like yours. The first steps to staying safe online are easier — and more urgent — than you think.
