Newbattle Abbey College is Scotland’s smallest and only adult residential college — a place for life-changing, second-chance education for school leavers and adults. Our rich, inclusive curriculum supports learners at every stage: from entry-level to higher education pathways, developing skills, confidence, and new opportunities.

What makes us unique? Our inspiring, supportive learning environment is housed within a 900-year-old abbey set in 125 acres of parkland. Our highly qualified team ensures each learner is nurtured and challenged.

We also operate as a venue to raise funds via weddings, conferences, and cultural events. The income we generate is reinvested directly back into the College, enhancing the learning experience and supporting future students.
