Home-Start Dundee is a voluntary organisation committed to promoting the welfare of familiies with at least one child under five years of age. Families are referred to Home-Start through health visitors, social workers, mental health teams, or they may self-refer. Families are then matched to a suitable volunteer, who offers regular support, friendship and practical help to the family under stress in their own homes, helping prevent difficulties escalating into a crisis.
