Speyside Youth are a youth-led organisation whose purpose is to advance citizenship and community development of the young people of Dufftown and Speyside. We have established a community hub (Youth Café), in Dufftown to offer a wide range of projects and activities primarily for the benefit of young people living within Dufftown and the Speyside area and we support all aspects of personal development for all young people who are members of Speyside Youth through one-on-one support with trained Youth Workers, and providing learning experiences through team-based activities, social enterprise, and volunteering for other local groups.We work with P7 - S3 ages and this includes the challenging transition period from primary to secondary schooling.Our Youth Committee make strategic decisions regarding the vision and activities of Speyside Youth.The youth cafes provide a safe and inclusive place where young people primarily living within Dufftown and the Speyside area are able to meet and socialise away from the pressures of drugs, alcohol, and gambling, and provides personal and social development opportunities for all young people.We also provide one-to one mental health support and sign-posting to young people, their families and staff.
