Amateur Dramatic Club - founded in 1982 To advance education of young people living or attending school in Grangemouth and environs in all aspects of dramatic art including the arts of drama, mime, music, singing and dancea) To develop high quality musical and theatrical productions by young people between the ages of 9 and 18.b) To promote friendship, mutual support and encouragement between members and their families.c) To encourage pleasure and enjoyment of the performing artsd) To provide a supportive and safe environment for young people to engage in drama and theatre related activities on a regular basis.e) To encourage and facilitate the development of skills related to theatre and drama.f) To provide opportunities for all members to take part in regular youth productions.g) To give members the opportunity to take part in additional workshops and events.The company will not discriminate on the grounds of gender, race, colour, ethnic or national origin, sexuality, disability and religious or political belief. In pursuance of the objects set out in clause 2 (but not otherwise), the company shall have the following powers: -a) To advance education of young people in all aspects of dramatic art including the arts of drama, mime, music, singing and danceb) To carry on any other activities which further any of the above objects.c) To purchase, take on lease, hire, or otherwise acquire, any property or rights which are suitable for the company’s activities.d) To improve, manage, develop, or otherwise deal with, all or any part of the property and rights of the Company.e) To sell, let, hire out, license, or otherwise dispose of, all or any part of the property and rights of the Company.f) To engage such consultants and advisers as are considered appropriate from time to time.g) To effect insurance of all kinds (which may include officers’ liability insurance).h) To invest any funds which are not immediately required for the Company’s activities in such investments as may be considered appropriate (and to dispose of, and vary, such investments).i) To liaise with other voluntary sector bodies, local authorities, UK or Scottish government departments and agencies, and other bodies, all with a view to furthering the Company’s objects.j) To establish and/or support any other charity, and to make donations for any charitable purpose falling within the Company’s objects.k) To take such steps as may be deemed appropriate for the purpose of raising funds for the Company’s activities.l) To accept grants, donations and legacies of all kinds (and to accept any reasonable conditions attaching to them).m) To do anything which may be incidental or conducive to the furtherance of any of the Company’s objects.
