Introduction

Across Scotland, voluntary organisations do extraordinary work with local communities and communities of interest and identity. This award celebrates organisations that are rooted in their community and led by their community’s needs and priorities. 

We are looking for organisations and groups that are community-led and can show that communities are put at the heart of decision making to create a more fair and inclusive society.

Judging criteria

Our judges want to understand more about how your community has come together to agree on what matters most, and to take action. In your answers and supporting evidence you should try to include:

A clear outline of how your community has organised to identify the issues you want to address or opportunities you want to explore
The story of what made this year special
Facts and figures that highlight how you’ve achieved your success
Real-life examples of the impact of your work, which may include case studies and/or testimonials
