Introduction

Whether you work with young or older people, in health and wellbeing, supporting local communities or tackling inequalities and working with marginalised groups; our lives, our work and our communities require a stable climate.

This award recognises organisations that have taken positive action to make a difference. You could be a large organisation that has significantly reduced your carbon footprint, or a smaller organisation that has re-wilded a community space. We are interested in stories about the change that you are making.

We welcome applications from all organisations but we’re particularly keen to hear from organisations that have not previously focused on the environment but have now found ways to connect action on the climate and nature emergencies with your core mission.

Judging criteria

Our judges want to understand more about how your organisation has decided what action makes the most sense for your work and community. We’re interested in what you have done and how you have engaged with people to make it a success. In your answers and supporting evidence you should try to include:

  • A clear outline of why you decided what action to take and who was involved
  • The story of what made this year special
  • Facts and figures that highlight how you’ve achieved your success
  • Real-life examples of the impact of the work you’ve done, which may include case studies and/or testimonials
