CFINE
Why you should vote for CFINE for the People’s Choice Award
The cost-of-living crisis has exacerbated poverty and food insecurity, and CFINE has been on the front line in responding. Through its support services, which not only deals with the immediate problems such as hunger, but also tackles the root causes of poverty, CFINE has been critical in supporting communities in incredibly difficult circumstances. A vote for CFINE is a vote for the hundreds of volunteers who have given their time, energy and dedication, and without them, the impact simply would not have been possible and more, now than than ever, we need to prioritise the most disadvantaged in society.
CFINE improves health & wellbeing and the environment, tackles poverty and builds resilience through a range of support services. This last year has been unlike any other, with the worsening cost-of-living crisis having a severe impact on individuals and families. CFINE quickly adapted to the increase in need, providing over 35,000 emergency food parcels, supporting over 2,000 individuals with financial/welfare support, and distributing >840 tonnes of food across 7 local authority areas, equivalent to 2million meals, and reached over 600 people weekly with outreach services to address rural poverty and reduce social isolation.
