One of the charity’s founders once said if I was cut open, I’d bleed yellow! I started volunteering to give back after receiving the all-clear and am so proud of all I’ve achieved since then. It's not just a career for me – it's a way of being able to help others who are going through what I went through ten years ago. I always say I’ll stop fundraising when people get fed up with me and I know that’s not going to happen as everyone knows how much it means to me. I’m excited to hit my next fundraising milestone!

We are incredibly fortunate to have Paul. His dedication and work ethic know no bounds. He is compassionate and genuinely cares for others. In his role as Volunteer Co-ordinator, we are most proud of his work on our Befriending service, which tackles the need for open dialogue with patients, families and carers who feel isolated - a legacy from pandemic times. Our volunteers love him and he is a joy to watch as he has a natural affinity with patients. Over and above this, he is a master of fundraising, raising over £100,000 during his spare time for the charity.
