Our carbon neutral Trishaw rides enrich the lives of thousands of people with mobility challenges or disability, especially the elderly. Many are unable or lack the confidence to go out and are isolated or lonely. We’re changing that - all across the country. We get people into the fresh air, seeing beautiful places, bonding with others and making new friendships. The riders, some dealing with their own challenges, achieve deep fulfilment as they too bond with new friends. We’re having a hugely beneficial impact on mental and physical health; your vote will help us to do that even more widely.
We launched in 2017. Our mission: provide life enhancing rides, free of charge, in pioneering e-bike Trishaws to anyone with mobility restrictions, or simply isolated or lonely, especially the elderly. We gained charitable status in 2018. From two Trishaws then, we now have 110+ in 61 branches across Scotland and we’ve recruited, trained and supported 3000+ volunteers who deliver the rides. Our small staff team supports all 61 branches, so the volunteers can focus on getting passengers out, making new friends and being part of their communities. The effects on passengers and volunteers alike is utterly joyous and life changing.
