Equi-Power Central Scotland RDA

Equi-Power Central Scotland RDA is a member group of the Riding for the Disabled Association and offers participation in therapeutic, educational and competitive activities with horses to people of all ages with disabilities from Stirling, Falkirk, Clackmannanshire and surrounding areas. Equi-Power supports people living with physical, learning, invisible and age-related disabilities, additional support needs, neurodiversity and disabling mental health challenges to increase activity levels, improve mental and physical health, make friends, have fun, excel in sport and increase in confidence.

In 2023 Equi-Power Central Scotland RDA worked with 150 people with disabilities and alongside horse care, horse riding and equestrian vaulting activities, diversified to launch new initiatives supporting refugees with disabilities, individuals with dementia & teenagers with disabling mental health conditions. Equi-Power Central Scotland RDA offers volunteering, educational and employment opportunities to the disability and wider community including university placements, Duke of Edinburgh and Saltire volunteering awards. In 2023 our competitive riders and vaulters enjoyed an outstanding year of success, becoming Scottish Equestrian Vaulting National Para Champions, RDA UK Virtual National Champions and RDA Scottish dressage champions.
