Fife Young Carers

Young carers face life changing social, educational and mental health challenges due to their unpaid care of loved ones. Fife Young Carers provided tailored, holistic support to more than a thousand young carers, to help them overcome barriers and to achieve their life's dream.

We provide holistic support to tackle the profound isolation, poor educational attainment and mental health challenges faced by young carers. With our holistic support young carers aged from just five years old, say they feel more positive about their future, more confident, and better able to cope. During this, our 25th anniversary year, we moved to bigger premises and held 25 celebration events including an education conference, and a gala day attended by hundreds of young carers and their families. In the words of a young carer; "Fife Young Carers means so much to me, and has changed my life".
