Dundee Dragons Wheelchair Sports Club

We provide wheelchair sport and adaptive cycling opportunities for people with disabilities, fostering a supportive community that builds confidence, independence and connection. We are the only club in Tayside offering this range of accessible sport.

This year, we strengthened our position as Tayside’s only wheelchair sports club by expanding inclusive opportunities through wheelchair sport and adaptive cycling. Despite losing a training venue, we secured a better facility and maintained strong participation across diverse age groups and abilities. Members provided feedback on improved confidence, independence and social connection. Adaptive cycling grew significantly, including hospital-based sessions. Another highlight was a national TV visit, raising awareness of disability sport locally and beyond Behind the scenes, we developed volunteers, strengthened governance and increased fundraising leading to increased sustainability.

Overall, we have sustained and strengthened an empowering community.
