Norinemindeyes Culture Connect
Norinemindeyes Culture Connect charity upports Black and ethnic minority communities through culturally responsive food aid, creative arts, wellbeing programmes and empowerment initiatives, helping people overcome poverty, build confidence and access opportunities. We create safe, inclusive spaces where individuals and families can heal, develop skills, express their identity and be seen, heard and valued.
Last year was transformative for Norinemindeyes Culture Connect Incorporated, marked by significant growth and deeper community impact. We were honoured as finalists for the North Edinburgh Community Awards, recognising our dedication and expanding reach. We launched Edinburgh’s first Afro Food Bank, supporting refugee and low-income families with culturally appropriate food through key partnerships. Our Afrocentric Hub programmes grew to include music mentoring, arts workshops, youth development, neurodivergent outreach, Vision Arts, women and girls empowerment, and mental health support through Conversation from a Silence. Our cultural events , Annual Awards Night amplified diverse voices, demonstrating the strength and impact of community-led change.
