Aberdeen Cyrenians - Aberdeen Tasking & Activation Partnership (ATAP)
The goal of ATAP is simple but powerful: to help people stay in their homes and avoid homelessness before it happens. Instead of waiting until someone is in crisis, we act together to focus on early support, collaboration, and practical help to make sure tenants feel safe, secure, and supported in social housing.
Launched in July 2025, ATAP brings together housing associations, third sector organisations and the local authority to prevent homelessness through early intervention, lived experience insight, cash-first support, relational leadership and innovative technology tools that help frontline workers ask and act confidently on housing concerns. Despite challenges including power dynamics and tight timescales, partners adapted through honest dialogue and shared decision-making, “becoming a partnership, not just in name.” The partnership has already supported 68 people to avoid homelessness, delivering quicker, more sustainable outcomes and significant cultural and system change.
