Description

Children’s and Youth Arts Advocacy (CYAA) presents an insightful event exploring Scotland's incorporation of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) and its potential benefits. Join us to delve into how arts, culture, and creativity can have a transformative impact on the lives of babies, children and young people throughout Scotland, enhancing not only their wellbeing but also complementing wider areas of the curriculum and other UNCRC rights.

During this session, CYAA members will share sector-leading research and projects aimed at addressing the current limitations on children and young people accessing these rights. We'll also invite you to contribute your insights, to inform future plans and collaborations.

CYAA is a collective of Scotland’s leading arts organisations working together to drive change for Scotland's babies, children and young people. The group was established in 2020 to help tackle the impact of lockdown and the pandemic and continues to be supported by Creative Scotland and Education Scotland.
