The event aims to connect funders with a diverse range of voices to develop a full understanding on the shape of the sector and discuss how we move forward together and both anticipate and respond to current and future challenges and opportunities.

Description

Scotland Funders' Forum, Scottish Grantmakers and SCVO come together to promote sharing of best practice and learning.

Hear from The Robertson Trust, Inspiring Scotland, Corra, Gannochy Trust and Cattanach about the work being undertaken on the Environment, equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) and Fair funding. Be part of the collective dialogue with funders and hear reflections on navigating change amidst current economic, political and environmental challenges. Discussions cover areas of common interest and themes are framed within the context of supporting the third sector in Scotland to contribute to a just transition and supporting people, and communities to adapt for the future.

Background

Scotland Funders’ Forum is a forum for funders in Scotland, including statutory bodies, independent grant making trusts, and other funders who are committed to best practice in funding the voluntary and community sector and to maximising the impact of funding for the benefit of Scotland.

Scottish Grantmakers is a membership organisation and, as of 2021, a registered charity which exists to represent grantmaking charities across Scotland. Its purposes are to foster and inform good practice in administration and governance of grant making; and to provide opportunities for collaboration, education, and networking.

This collaborative approach has developed from the SCVO Funding Community and Learning Hub, set up in 2020 and recognises the importance of working effectively alongside one another for the benefit of the Scottish voluntary and community organisations.
