  • Measuring the impact: explore how establishing and measuring key metrics helps to highlight the value of volunteering in a demonstrable way.
  • Online inclusion: hear how challenging assumptions about online engagement and volunteering opens up new opportunities for all volunteers.
  • Relevant recruitment: discover how a carefully planned recruitment process works for the volunteer and organisations, supporting a great volunteering experience.
Description

The benefits of volunteering, for the individual, the organisation, community and society more widely are evident. But to achieve volunteering for all, charities often face multiple challenges as they strive to attract a wider range of volunteers.

In this session Liz Wigelsworth (Head of Volunteering) and Bulent Yazici (product manager for Assemble) will delve into the experience of Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland as they continue on their journey towards more inclusive volunteering. From reimagining ways of volunteering to developing more flexible volunteer propositions, Liz and her team have focussed on the volunteer experience, supporting both volunteers and managers in their adoption of digital tools.

Join us to hear more about the strategies they’ve implemented, how a volunteer management system’s tools have supported these and how they plan to build on their early successes.
