This event will provide trustees with an overview of their responsibilities and role in overseeing fundraising, and also provide fundraisers with a sense of what trustees need from them. It will raise awareness of regulatory requirements, as well as reflect on what makes for a good fundraising trustee and concentrate minds on how to get a great relationship between a Board and a fundraising team.
- Description
Following on from newly released guidance on Trustees and Fundraising in Scotland from the Chartered Institute of Fundraising, this session will cover the key areas of responsibility that Trustees have in overseeing a charity's fundraising activity. Through a range of perspectives and contributions, the panel will give you an overview of a trustee's fundraising responsibility, regulatory requirements and how to get best relationships with fundraising teams. We will also look at the need for Boards to invest in fundraising, and what makes for a great fundraising trustee.
