This event aims to give people managers an overview of ways to support and manage positive mental health in the workplace. It will explore the impact of stress within the workplace, legislation relevant to supporting employees with their mental health and wellbeing, and practical tools and resources to support this.
- Description
The session will cover:
- Definition of mental health and use of a mental health continuum to support staff
- Management responsibility of promoting and leading a mentally healthy workplace, including relevant legislation
- Understanding boundaries and limitations within the role of a workplace manager, including burnout and vicarious trauma
- Use of proactive and reactive tools to support staff with their wellbeing in both individual and team settings
