- Description
Cornerstone was recently named as a finalist in in the industry-recognised, UK-wide 2024 Menopause Friendly Employer Awards. This recognition follows a two-year Menopause Awareness Project made possible with a generous grant from the Workplace Equality Fund, and working in partnership with project partners The People Portfolio. As part of the project Cornerstone were also the first social care employer in Scotland to achieve full ‘Menopause Friendly’ accreditation from Henpicked: Menopause In The Workplace.
With over 78% of Cornerstone’s workforce being female, and 45% being between the ages of 35–55, it is vitally important that the impact of perimenopause, menopause, and postmenopause are understood and appropriate support is in place.
Cornerstone have been recognised for their commitment working towards long-term, sustainable change in the workplace and fostering an inclusive menopause friendly culture. This included colleague surveys, developing a Menopause Support Policy, running manager awareness workshops and introducing a raft of online resources, as well as hosting ‘Your Menopause Journey’ virtual sessions and resourcing lending libraries of books across hubs and offices.
We invite you to join us for an engaging session sharing tools and tips for creating menopausal awareness and support in your organisation, alongwith a question and answer opportunity.
