Victim Support Scotland's event aims to:
- Raise awareness of the work of Victim Support Scotland
- Enhance understanding of the experiences of people affected by crime
- Explore opportunities for future partnerships
By increasing understanding and awareness of the work VSS does to support and advocate for those impacted by crime, we hope to build on existing partnerships and create new ones to advance mutual goals.
- Description
Victim Support Scotland is celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2025, and we want to explore opportunities to build new partnerships that advance our mission - that all those affected by crime receive the high-quality support and care they need to move forward with their lives.
This session will enrich your understanding of the profile of people affected by crime in Scotland: who they are; how they are impacted; and what they tell us about their experiences.
You will also learn more about the work of Victim Support Scotland, the services we offer and our work to embed victim-centred and trauma-informed approaches across Scotland's criminal justice system.
We will demonstrate that Victim Support Scotland is an organisation that third sector partners can turn to when they need us. We are a national organisation with a local presence, working both in your community and with your community.
With an interactive element to the session, we want to learn more about the needs of the people you support so that we can ensure our services work for them.
This session is about sharing our knowledge and learning from you so that we can work together towards shared goals.
