Description

Our event will highlight the impactful partnership between the British Red Cross and teams at the Glasgow Royal Infirmary through our Assisted Discharge service. This collaboration has allowed us to adapt our service to include direct and self-referrals, enabling us to enhance the timely and efficient support provided to those in need. Our teams are in direct communication with consultants and staff nurses, streamlining the referral process and ensuring that patients receive the care they need promptly. This partnership demonstrates good practice in the voluntary sector, highlighting the importance of collaboration. The event will focus on showcasing the impact of these developments and include case studies, illustrating how the people supported benefited from the service through a direct referral and in turn reduced pressures on the wider health and care system. We will explore how collaborative efforts can lead to better healthcare outcomes, make a lasting impact on our communities and how we are focused on strengthening our work with partners. Our event will feature a diverse range of speakers and panel members to provide valuable insights and foster meaningful discussions.
