Overall aim

Cyber resilience is just another part of overall business resilience - making sure that your organisation has a plan in place to keep operating, even when things go wrong.

Only 19% of UK charities have cyber incident response plans, today we can help improve cyber resilience across the sector by helping you build a plan for your organisation.

Description

Almost one in three UK charities experienced some form of cyber security breach or attack in the past year. Organisations of all sizes are increasingly relying on digital tools and services. Sadly, this means it is not a case of if you will experience a cyber incident but rather when.

Preparation is key, and you can reduce a lot of the stress associated with a cyber attack by having an incident response plan ready in advance. SCVO have recently developed an easy-to-use template to help guide smaller third sector organisations in how to respond to a cyber incident and ultimately prepare them for the inevitable.

Join this interactive session to run through the new plan template and work collaboratively to start building one for your organisation today.

Who is speaking at this event?
SCVO’s Cyber Resilience Co-ordinator, Alison Brogan, will host the event in collaboration with some of our cyber ambassadors within Scotland’s third sector community. Alison has more than 15 years’ experience within cyber security and joined SCVO in 2023 to coordinate a programme of work to support the sector in becoming more cyber resilient. This work is delivered as part of the CyberScotland partnership.
