- Description
The Third Sector is best positioned to deliver change. Women in Scotland have a longer life expectancy than men, but the proportion of their life spent in good health is notably and consistently lower than men’s. 100,000 women are living with heart disease, yet they are more likely to receive the wrong diagnosis and get half as many heart treatments. So, when the Scottish Government published its Women’s Health Plan in 2021, charity Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland was determined to play its part in turning those aspirations into action. Find out how they’ve done that in partnership with key players across Scotland. CHSS chief executive Jane-Claire Judson will be joined by the Scottish Government’s Women’s Health Champion Anna Glasier and head of Women and Girl’s Football at the Scottish Football Association Shirley Martin.
