We all know that more diverse boards make better decisions. But what does diversity mean on a board and, more importantly, how do we make it easier to join a board?How can leaders and employers think differently about volunteering as a way to support and develop staff?We are passionate about more inclusive leadership - could you partner with us to help to raise awareness about how to join a board and to break down barriers to groups that may be under-represented on boards?Have you always wondered about joining a board and would like more information on this?Hopefully this diverse session is for you!

Whether you are a trustee, or interested in being a trustee, a CEO/manager wondering how to support your staff to volunteer or to support their CPD, or an organisation working with people who are under-represented on boards, we'd love you to join us!This session will hear from existing trustees and organisations working directly with groups who are under-represented on boards to explore diversity on boards and to think about how we could all be working together to break down barriers to more inclusive leadership. We will focus on diversity of leadership, through the lens of sport, but as a voluntary sector-wide perspective.Come along to help to share and shape thinking on this and to help us to identify new partners and ways to enhance the diversity of leadership, across Scottish sports and beyond!
