Description

Communities in Scotland are facing a world defined by deep and rapid change. From climate breakdown and global conflict to rising inequality, social division, automation, and the cost-of-living crisis, it's no surprise that many feel overwhelmed and unsure where to turn. But what if we could equip people - especially young people - not just to cope with these challenges, but to lead change in the face of them?

In this session, we'll explore the power and potential of Global Citizenship Education (GCE) as a transformative approach to learning and community engagement. You'll hear from school, academic and community leaders who will share how GCE can build resilience, critical thinking, and a global outlook - and how it can be meaningfully embedded into the work of third sector organisations across Scotland. You'll also have the opportunity to take part in interactive workshop activities and learn from the experiences and practice of others in the room. Join us to explore how global citizenship education can help create a fairer and more connected Scotland - and world, and how you can be part of it!
